Effective 27 August 2026. Mechanism Playground is designed for ages 10 and up and does not ask for a name, account, email address, or profile.

What stays on your device

Your parts, puzzle progress, and last open puzzle are saved in your browser using IndexedDB, with localStorage as a fallback. The first-run guide preference and any purchase license are stored in localStorage. You can clear these through your browser controls. Blueprint export creates a JSON file that you control.

Purchases

If you buy Forge Edition, checkout happens on Sociobot's hosted billing service, with Dodo as merchant of record. This app receives a license token in the return URL, removes it from the visible URL, stores it locally, and sends it to api.sociobot.in no more than once per day to check whether it is valid. Payment details never enter this app.

Network and tracking

There are no advertising trackers, analytics SDKs, third-party fonts, chat, or behavioral profiles. Normal server access logs may temporarily contain an IP address and request details for security and reliability. The service worker caches app files locally so the workshop works offline.

Your choices

Use Blueprint file in the app to export your work. Delete site data in your browser to remove all local information. For privacy questions, contact privacy@sociobot.in.
